Story

I intend to walk the Cumbria Way starting on 20th July 2013, the day after my mothers 70th Birthday. The walk is 73 miles from Ulverston to Carlisle and will be completed across 4 nights and 5 days. I am currently completing a training programme for this endurance walk which is quite demanding. Please donate to this deserving charity in memory of my mother Jean McCarron and the special memories which she has left us all. Tony McCarron Successfully finished - the Cumbria Way walk (24/07/13) on time at Carlisle Cathedral (6:00pm). A total of 75 miles completed in 5 days (extra miles due to being lost) in searing heat and an electrical storm whilst on High Pike summit (2157 feet). I am delighted for my chosen charity.
